During one of my recent visit to Frankfurt, Germany, I had an opportunity to share a dinner with some three awesome Kenyan ladies who couldn’t individually manage to buy property back in their motherland. These women ingeniously decided to circumvent their temporary impediment by coming together to build a formidable real Estate portfolio as a team, through Optiven (www.optiven.co.ke).
They decided to start off their strategy by buying two relatively affordable properties at Optiven’s Shekinah Gardens by paying a few Euros a month for a period of three years. The three are now not only currently co-owning these properties together, but they have also started the process of increasing their portfolio with 2 other very strategic properties through Optiven. These two additional properties are at Amani Ridge The Place of Peace in Kiambu.
These 3 women are slowly working smart to achieve a vision that probably neither of them could have singularly managed. You can guess how many properties they will have in the next 10 years or so. I call it, ‘the 3 Wise Women Strategy.’ These ladies and many other cases of very determined Kenyans that I encounter regularly, always give me the kick to do what I do every day – to continue empowering as many Kenyans as possible on the area of real estate development.
