Dr. George Wachiuri, the Optiven Group Chief Executive Officer is the Economic Ambassador for the year 2024. The award was given at the 2024 Nakuru Entrepreneurs Awards held in Nakuru City. The award was collected by the Optiven Nakuru Office Manager, Grace Kimani and the Optiven team serving in Nakuru on behalf of Dr. Wachiuri.
Dr. Wachiuri acknowledged the award noting that it is a motivation for the work done to empower the communities socially and economically. “My team and I continue to work together in ensuring that we empower as many people as possible including women, the youth and the marginalized.” Speaking on the involvement with Nakuru, Dr. Wachiuri said that as a company Optiven has been making waves as a key investor in Nakuru City where we have donated land for a school and church within our inaugural project Ushindi Gardens.
Dr. Wachiuri is the Founder and Chairman of the Optiven Foundation. He is also the brains behind the George Wachiuri School of Mentorship and the GoGreen Initiative. Through his patronage, Dr. Wachiuri has been able to give back to the society through lectures, guest addresses and media interviews where he shares his journey of entrepreneurship that spans over two and a half decades.
