Optiven Group CEO George Wachiuri has welcomed the decision by the Kenyan government to open a consulate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The announcement was made during the 93rd Saudi Arabian National Day Celebrations in Nairobi. Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Kenya, His Excellency Khalid Abdulla Al-Salman while addressing dignitaries at the celebrations in Nairobi, announced that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia would offer scholarships to Kenyan students. The two countries share mutual collaborations in health, education and security.
Wachiuri noted that the issuance of support in terms of scholarships provides an open door to many students seeking exposure especially from developed countries like the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Wachiuri who is also the Chairman of the Optiven Foundation has been a voice for mentorship and opportunities for youth through George Wachiuri School of Mentorship and the Optiven Foundation. Optiven Limited has been engaging Kenyans living and working in the diaspora including in Saudi Arabia to enable them invest in real estate back in Kenya.
George Wachiuri is a celebrated author with three books to his name, including “Soaring like an Eagle,” “Unleash Your Full Potential,” and “After The Plunge.” He is also a philanthropist, motivational speaker, lecturer, and church elder.
